Term 3 Week 4: Learning from Home
Covid-19 Alert Level 4 - what this means for our Room 10 Learners
Here's hoping that you are all keeping well and safe at home. It is crucial we are looking after each other in our immediate bubbles. Let's all do our bit to keep everyone safe while the country is in lockdown.
Check our school website regularly for the latest updates. Take time to read the digital newsletter from Raina - our school Principal
At this stage we are unable to send out learning material hardcopies.
So have fun planning a day of learning and helping out around home.
For a few who have access to own device, this might be a brilliant time to work through outstanding tasks from Mathematics, Reading/Vocabulary, Writing and Topic.
Also, take advantage of educational online platforms that are shared on our class websites.
Aim to spend 2-3hours of online learning in the first part of the day (as if you are following our Class T3 Timetable).
Then, help out around home. In doing so, attempt to link the day's chores or activities to any New Zealand Curriculum (NZC) area:
Be sure to post a blog and upload a picture of yourself (if possible) carrying out the task. What do you like with your pancakes?
Comment on specific aspects of making pancakes that link to the curriculum. Hopefully you might develop an interest in careers associated with Education.
Please remember to have adult supervision if you are cooking or baking.
And to finish the day - write a reflection on how this whakatauki means to you
Peta?! Are ou trying to make everyone think you made it or is it an example? Sorry if I sound rude. I don't mean to be rude.
ReplyDeleteKia Ora Karson - you are asking a genuine question and you are a courteous student. The pancake image is what I aspire to make. I hope it gives our class the inspiration to make something similar.
DeleteI look forward to your reflection about the pancakes and the shared whakatauki?
Because I found it off Google when I was looking for pancake recipes!
ReplyDeleteThat's awesome because you're utilising available resources for learning. Keep at it Karson
